We'll gather together to pay our respects for those who serve, have served, been injured and given their lives in past or present wars. We especially think of the local people who died during World War 1 and World War 2, and we'll lay wreaths at the memorial to them, after a time of silent reflection and remembrance. We'll then have a short service of remembrance with hymns, prayers and a short sermon. We hope that you are able to join us as we pay our respects to those to whom we owe so much.

To truly celebrate Christmas, it helps to see Christ as more than just the baby in the manger or the saviour on the cross. While the Apostles’ creed jumps from “Born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate”, this advent course looks at the life of Jesus hidden in that comma and will help us ponder what Jesus’ life means for us. An evening to excite everyone who loves the natural world’s wildernesses and the animals that live there. Award winning cameraman, Doug Allan OBE, will be talking about his most memorable encounters, while filming for acclaimed television series like Blue Planet, Planet Earth and Frozen Planet. Join us for a traditional and musical evening service.

This is a beautiful service, which uses service booklets so that you know which parts the minister says, and which parts the congregation say aloud. One of the main parts of the service is the Psalm for the day, which is either said aloud or sung. This is followed by readings from the Bible, including the joyous words of the Virgin Mary when she learned she would give birth to Jesus, and the heartfelt words of Simeon, when he recognises the Messiah when he meets Jesus. The service ends with prayers: the Lord's Prayer, the prayer for the day, a prayer for peace and a prayer for help against troubles. There are four hymns which are sung during the service, and a a short talk too.

Every fifth Sunday we rotate which church we hold a morning service in so we can all gather together. This time, we’re gathering in Wookey Church to share Holy Communion. We're going to be singing hymns accompanied by the organ. There'll also be prayers, Bible readings, and a short talk, with coffee afterwards. We hope that you will join us!

Join us at this informal breakfast at Henton Village Hall. Arrive anytime between 9am and 9:30am. There'll be food, an optional quiz and a talk. There is also activities and crafts for children. This is a great monthly event to attend, and new people and families are always welcome to come along.
