Join us for a traditional and musical evening service.

This is a beautiful service, which uses service booklets so that you know which parts the minister says, and which parts the congregation say aloud. One of the main parts of the service is the Psalm for the day, which is either said aloud or sung. This is followed by readings from the Bible, including the joyous words of the Virgin Mary when she learned she would give birth to Jesus, and the heartfelt words of Simeon, when he recognises the Messiah when he meets Jesus. The service ends with prayers: the Lord's Prayer, the prayer for the day, a prayer for peace and a prayer for help against troubles. There are four hymns which are sung during the service, and a a short talk too.

Deepen your faith in this short course by using paintings from The National Gallery. We are going to be holding a 4 week course looking at the story of the early Christian Church and finishing with what heaven might be like. Each week we’ll look at a different painting and focus on a different event as described in the Bible. This is a great continuation of the earlier course, but can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone course. Join us at this informal breakfast at Henton Village Hall. There'll be food, an optional quiz and a talk. There is also activities and crafts for children. This is a great monthly event to attend, and new people and families are always welcome to come along.

On this fifth Sunday we’re gathering in Wookey Church to share Holy Communion. We’ll be focusing on the wonder of creation and celebrating the wisdom of Saint Francis of Assisi who had a supreme care of nature and animals. There’ll also be singing of hymns accompanied by the organ, prayers, and Bible readings. We hope that you will join us!

Join us as we give thanks for the harvest during this annual service, which is very special with the farms, fields and countryside located all around us. We'll thank God for his blessings over the harvest. There'll also be prayers, a short sermon and refreshments after the service too! Please bring any food donations to the service with you, and these will go to Wells Foodbank.

You are invited to get together with others to read and discuss "2 Corinthians - the Gospel in All of Life." This letter, written by the apostle Paul, unpacks what the Gospel, or the Good News, is: walking with, speaking for, and serving Jesus in all of life. 2 Corinthians takes us through how to live by faith in our broken world. However, if you are not able to attend all of the sessions, don't worry as the course book will help you know what has been covered.

The course will be held at Christ Church Coxley, and will take place on Tuesday afternoons over seven weeks, starting on Tuesday 4th June.
