An interesting illustrated talk, followed by questions, by Professor Nicola Lewis (Francis Crick Institute and Royal Veterinary College) who now works on trying to combat global infectious diseases in people and animals. We’ll meet at Wookey Church at 3pm for our annual prayer walk from Wookey to Henton. As we walk we’ll be stopping to pray for key places in our communities. We’ll end the walk at
Henton Church, where there’ll be tea and cakes. The walk will go along roads, footpaths and some uneven surfaces. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join in too. If people would just
like to attend the refreshments at Henton Church you are very welcome to do so! We aim to be there around 4pm. No need to book – just turn up at Wookey Church.

40 days after Easter, we are celebrating the ascension of Jesus to Heaven, with a special Holy Communion service. This year the service is taking place in Coxley.
