Join us for a service of Holy Communion. There will be hymns, prayers, Bible readings and a short sermon too. Plus tea and coffee served after the service.

In August, we're got an exciting art project: painting stones of 'all creatures great and small'. It's for all ages to join in with, and it's free too! All materials are provided, and you are welcome to bring your own pebbles with you if you'd like to.

Deepen your faith in this short course by using paintings from The National Gallery. We are going to be holding a 4 week course looking at the story of the early Christian Church and finishing with what heaven might be like. Each week we’ll look at a different painting and focus on a different event as described in the Bible. This is a great continuation of the earlier course, but can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone course. The course will be held in Henton Church on Thursday evenings over four weeks, starting on Thursday 8th August. Please email [email protected] if you would like to attend this course.

Join us for a traditional and musical evening service.

This is a beautiful service, which uses service booklets so that you know which parts the minister says, and which parts the congregation say aloud. One of the main parts of the service is the Psalm for the day, which is either said aloud or sung. This is followed by readings from the Bible, including the joyous words of the Virgin Mary when she learned she would give birth to Jesus, and the heartfelt words of Simeon, when he recognises the Messiah when he meets Jesus. The service ends with prayers: the Lord's Prayer, the prayer for the day, a prayer for peace and a prayer for help against troubles. There are four hymns which are sung during the service, and a a short talk too.

Join us for an informal family-friendly service. This is a great service to attend if you are new to Church or interested in Christianity. This service is named after the belief that Jesus is the cornerstone on which we build our faith and live our lives.

Join us for a Taize service with singing and prayers. It's a wonderful way to connect with God through music and words.

On this fifth Sunday we’re gathering in Wookey Church to share Holy Communion. We’ll be focusing on the wonder of creation and celebrating the wisdom of Saint Francis of Assisi who had a supreme care of nature and animals. There’ll also be singing of hymns accompanied by the organ, prayers, and Bible readings. We hope that you will join us!

You are invited to get together with others to read and discuss "2 Corinthians - the Gospel in All of Life." This letter, written by the apostle Paul, unpacks what the Gospel, or the Good News, is: walking with, speaking for, and serving Jesus in all of life. 2 Corinthians takes us through how to live by faith in our broken world.
