Visitors to St Mary's, East Chinnock are often amazed by the vibrant colours and appearance of the church's stained glass windows. Behind these  windows is an extraordinary story of a former Prisoner of War who was held in the area during the Second World War. Herr Gunther Anton gave these windows  to the village church as an expression of thanks and gratitude for his reception when he worked on a farm in East Chinnock.
