The Revd Philip Macaulay is to be the new Rector of the Coker Ridge Benefice. Philip is currently serving as Curate of St Swithin's Church, Sandy, Bedfordshire in the Diocese of St Albans. The Bishop of Bath & Wells will be officiating at a special church service to welcome Philip on Monday, 7th October at 7pm (the venue is yet to be arranged). A well attended coffee morning was held on 19th May in the village to help raise funds for Christian Aid Week. Just over £283 was raised. Many thanks to Pamela and her team of helpers, and to all those who came.
Claire and Alex from the village are making two visits to Nepal this year, where they will be based in the metropolitan city of Pokhara in central Nepal. Their link with the International Nepal Fellowship (INF) goes back many years and Alex says they are delighted to have this new opportunity.
