Harald Spitzer led a group from Helmstedt, Lower Saxony on an exchange visit to Chard, and they were able to make a visit to the unique stained glass windows of St Mary's, East Chinnock. John Chappelle, churchwarden, and Nick Weber showed the group Gunther Anton's windows, which were gifted to the church after the Second World War, as a mark of reconciliation.
