a big thank you to Viridor Credits who have made a grant of £47,589 to St Thomas Church to enable us to develop our space, make us more welcoming to all, and provide a resource to the whole community. Thank you also to everyone who wrote and supported our ideas demonstrating the wide range of support for change which was noted by Viridor. We hope that by the end of this year we will have an accessible W.C,  a servery, and some community meeting space here in the church.  Due to Covid restrictions we are still waiting for the site visit from the diocese advisory committee to agree the detail of the changes to be made. As St Thomas a Becket is a listed building, we understand that the heritage bodies, the planners and the amenity societies, as well as the diocese need to be satisfied with our plans for improvement and alteration.
