Many of us have mourned the death of family members or friends in recent months and years. Many still grieve for someone who died many years ago. However recent or distant your loss, you are invited to These we have loved – a service of remembering – on Sunday 3rd November at 4pm in St Peter’s Church, Evercreech.

These we have loved is a gentle, short service, followed by tea, cake, and conversation (or a chance to sit quietly). You can light a candle. You can ask for the name of someone who has died in the past few years to be read out.

You can write names on the lists that will be in St Peter’s Church from mid-October. If you prefer, you can email names to Anne at [email protected] with These We Have Loved in the subject line, by 1st November, please. Please remember to include the year that the person died. The date of death and their age are optional.

We look forward to welcoming you at this service.

St Peter

Members of this lively church are active in all areas of village life and the friendly congregation always welcomes newcomers and visitors.  There is an opportunity to chat over a cup of coffee or tea after the 9.30am service every Sunday.

We look forward to welcoming you at our services and events at St Peter's.  We are an Inclusive Church, an Eco-Church with a silver award, and a Fairtrade church.

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Evercreech is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Liz Henderson, email: [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [https://www.bathandwells.org.uk/safeguarding]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
