As part of our organ and sound fundraising launch we are had a Parish Praise service at 11.00am on 2nd March at St Peter’s. As well as raising the rafters, singing favourite hymns, voted for by the congregation we learned how a stalwart of the village – Jim Doble, used his talents to benefit the village.

Inspired by Jesus' parable of the talents in Matthew’s gospel, (Matthew 25: 14-30) we then handed out "talents" in the form of £10 notes to the congregation in the hope that they will not bury them but multiply them, supporting the appeal.

After the service we went along the road to the village hall and enjoyed a bring and share lunch.
