A private service for the residence of The Laurels Care Home.

The small congregation at St Peter’s is very welcoming, and we would love to see you at our services. The worship is carefully prepared but fairly informal in tone, and aims to be inclusive – we would like everyone to feel at home here. At this service all are welcome to receive the bread and the wine if it is your usual practice, or you can come forward to receive a blessing. We use the practise of intinction, which means dipping the wafer into the wine. As part of this service there will be a number of hymns, two bible readings and a sermon.

Following the service, tea, coffee and biscuits will be served for all to enjoy.

On the first Saturday of every month the Supporters of St Peter's welcome everyone to join them for coffee and home made cakes to help raise funds for the church. It is a lovely to time to come and meet or catch up with people in community and is suitable for children and adults of all ages!

We invite you to join us in St. Andrew’s Church, Cheddar on Sunday 2nd November at 4pm, for a special service in which we remember those we have lost.

We do this at this time of the year, as 2nd November is All Saints’ Day, and by “Saints” we mean all those who have wanted to live lives that honour God and have gone before us, including the loved ones we may have lost.

There will be a list at the door as you enter the church, on which the name of the person you are remembering can be written, or you are welcome to email the office on [email protected] by Wednesday 29th October.

After the service there will be the opportunity to chat over a cup of tea or coffee.

This is a simple service of morning prayer, modern language version from Common Worship. With hymns, two readings, psalm (said) and a sermon. After the main service you can stay on for a round-table discussion over coffee, tea and home made cake.

In 2026 we are again offering a FREE Church Holiday Club, which will be taking place in Cheddar Village Hall from Monday 24th to Thursday 27th August 2026.
