Dear Friend
My name is Andrew Griffin, I am the resident minister at Trinity Church. First of all I would like to start with an apology, if you are a past member of Trinity Church and feel let down because the church may not have been in touch with you over the last few years. I was installed at Trinity Church coming up to three years ago, I am also licensed to Christ Church South Ossett. It has taken this time to get to know our current congregation and be very visible in a busy community. During that time, I have been very conscious of past congregation members at Trinity Church.
Due to the Covid Pandemic, the world has become a slightly different place, with very little stability in certain areas of what we believe is a normal life. As a church, we have had growth of our congregation over the last two years despite grumblings that the Church of England is in decline. I would like to re-assure you that God is still very much in control. Over the last few months, I have felt God prompting me to reach out to those who came to Trinity Church before the pandemic, and also reach out to people who feel the need to explore church in their life, who maybe are not used to being part of a church family.
I would like to personally invite you to a service we are having under the banner of Back to Church Sunday. I feel this is an ideal opportunity to come and join us here at Trinity Church for Worship and Fellowship. The service will last just over an hour, with a chance to catch up with old and new friends after the service with refreshments.
So please if you would like to join us on Sunday 15th September at 10am, you will be most welcome, and I personally am so excited to meet you.
