This year St. Luke's church is 290 years old. To celebrate this, we are holding a Heritage Day, which will not only look at St. Luke's history, but also that of Lowton itself. There will be a special film show, the opportunity to examine historical documents which are rearely seen, and a talk on Life on Lowton in the 1820s by Tom from Wigan and Leigh Archives. This is an event not to be missed.

Lowton St. Luke

A family-friendly, welcoming church, with a variety of services: spoken Communion, Family services and Praise service

The parish of Lowton: St. Luke is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Liverpool’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
