We were delighted to welcome families to our annual Festival of Light on 31st October.  The event started with colouring placemats before a tasty tea of sandwiches, crisps and drinks was served.  The lights were dimmed as we watched a vidoe of Chris Rice's peaceful ballad 'Go light your world' during which our candles were lit.  Cup cakes were then decorated with sprinkles and each one had a candle.  We sang 'Light of the World' and then the candles were blown out.  Delicious chocolate cup cakes were enjoyed by all.  A lovely story was told about living in darkness and the light of the world - which we all know is Jesus.  The event ended with decorating cones to hold our sweets in.  Each family went home with a UCB Bag of hope with a story book and colouring sheet.  We really enjoyed the event and hope to welcome even more families next year.
