Bumper Easter Services

The sun shone on our Easter Events and we were so thankful that so many people in our village joined us for this most important of events in our Christian Calendar.  We had over 40 sit down for breakfast on Good Friday followed by a fantastic interactive service led by Revd Emma which involved everyone.

Easter Sunday is historically well attended and this year was no different.  The children were delighted to see that chocolate was a good theme within the worship.  Revd Emma used Easter eggs to re-create the resurrection and deliver the message that when our lives are broken, we need only turn to Christ and he can repair our souls.  The children were also involved in the Eucharist where, once again, Revd Emma had spent time developing a service in which they could participate more fully.

Easter Monday saw us hold our first Easter trail and egg hunt.  We didn't have as many families as we would have hoped - probably due tot he amazing bank holiday weather - but the children all had fun unravelling the Easter message and took home an Easter Egg each.  We were pleased to put our tables and chairs outside and enjoy coffee and cake in our lovely little churchyard.

Thank you to everyone who supported these events and we look forward to putting on more.
