Inside work Damp-damaged plaster is being removed inside the chancel, (Where the altar is) which is causing a lot of dust. Once the dust has settled and been removed, the walls here will be left for 12 months to thoroughly dry out before new plaster is applied and painted. Outside WorkMeanwhile work will be going on outside; repointing and replacing stonework where necessary, re-tiling the S roof of the chancel and other jobs. Most (93.2%) of the cost is being borne by the Church Commissioners, who have responsibility for the maintenance of the Chancel. The portion to be paid by our church will be covered by some grants and a bequest.
