Our Building
We have beautiful Victorian stained glass windows in the church.
Open 24/7. Candles available for lighting in memory of loved ones.
St Mary's is a grade I listed building. The chancel and nave are 13th century and feature a fine stone rood screen. The font is Norman. The roof is 16th century and the stained glass windows are Victorian. There are a 13th century sanctuary seat and piscina.
We have not yet achieved eco church status but this is something we are working on and plan to improve. We have started the process by rewilding some areas of the churchyard, thus improving habitat and biodiversity.
Music and Worship
We host occasional concerts at the church.
Groups, Courses and Activities
We have optional Bible study over breakfast after our meditation on the first and third Sundays of the month.
We hold a monthly coffee morning, usually on the first Saturday of the month, 10-12. In the colder months it is in the village hall; in the warmer months it's in the church.
We have regular events at the church - check out our events page.
Help for Visitors
We have a detailed booklet on the history of St Mary's available to purchase in the church for just £1.
The church is open 24/7. Please do come in and enjoy the peace and quiet. Prayer cards are there to help if you want to pray but don't know what to say.
Other Features
There is a voucher-free food bank at the back of the church. Anyone struggling to make ends meet can come in and take what they need without having to register anywhere.
