Opening
Trelystan Church is generally open during daylight hours. The monthly service of Holy Communion is usually held on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 3.00 pm. During summer there are other services from time to time, as announced. The annual church fete towards the end of July is always well attended, and a good opportunity to sample traditional country life on the Long Mountain!
Getting here
From Shrewsbury, turn left by the Green Dragon pub and just before Buttington Church, and follow the Forden road as far as Leighton, turning left just after Leighton School. Follow that road steeply up to the top of the Long Mountain, across the crossroads and the church is a short way beyond, to the left. To drive to the church it is necessary to open a field gate and drive down through the field. Please ensure that all gates are closed after you to ensure the safety of stock.
