About Us
Trelystan Church is a small, half-timbered building reached via a track through fields off the small road that crosses the Long Mountain between Leighton and Marton. It serves a very scattered farming community and there is no settlement surrounding the church. It is part of the Chirbury Hills Group, and the historic parish of Trelystan with Leighton is entirely within Wales, but opted not to transfer from Hereford Diocese to St Asaph (unlike neighbouring parishes) then the Church in Wales was formed in 1920.
