Facilities and features

Accessibility

Toilets are available during services and events at the church.

We welcome visitors to our car park (but not to stay overnight) and would appreciate a donation in the wall safe to the right of the lyche gate if you are able.

Our toilet is accessible via an outside door with no steps and easy access for wheelchair with turning space within the bathroom. It is open during services and events at the church.

Accessible car parking

A wooden ramp is available for access but help would be required to put this ramp in place.

Our Building

We have beautiful stained glass windows a couple of which have been recently restored. We are proud to have the great east stained glass window and the window in the south west wall both by Preedy 1852-3.

The window in the south wall of the nave by Preedy is a memorial to James Poole and depicts Christ Healing the Blind at Bethesda and Christ teaching, they are dated 1865.

Our church is always open for quiet reflection. The church has a very peaceful atmosphere and there are candle to light in memory of loved ones.

Our 14th century church is grade 1 listed

Music and Worship

We welcome bell ringers from other churches and groups to visit and use our bells.

Our young, enthusiastic organist plays at our Sunday services each month.

Help for Visitors

We have leaflets in the church for a small donation. They give a history of the church and also information about services and weddings.

Our church is always open for quiet reflection.

Other Features

Under the yew tree in our graveyard there is a pile of rubble which provides a sanctuary for our newts. We also have resident pipistrelles, although haven't been up to the rafters to count them!
