Refurbishment Project - Update

We would like to thank everyone who has donated to Phase 1 of our Refurbishment Project. We have now raised sufficient funds and work has started on site. This Phase of the work is about providing the church, for the first time in its 1,000 year history, with kitchen and toilet facilities. We are undertaking a series of related areas of work, including the installation of a water supply and drainage system; improvement of the entrance lobby; and the move of the font). So it is a large project and is costing around £90,000 overall. The work will be complete in early 2025.

Our funding has come from a variety of sources;

· The congregation and visitors to St Peter's Church and the site

· The Earl of Plymouth Estate

· Laslett's Charities

· Shropshire Historic Churches Trust

· Laing Family Trusts

· The Bernard Sunley Foundation

· The Benefact Trust

· The National Churches Trust

· The Garfield Weston Foundation

· The Rowland Trust

We remain hugely grateful to all of the people and organisations that have made this possible..

Phase 2 of the work is about undertaking the backlog of repairs and maintenance work needed in the church and we need to  continue to raise further funds to undertake. it.

Your help in supporting our work will make a real difference and ensure that St Peter’s church remains a vital part of the local community for the next millennium. If you would like to make a donation, go to the our 'A Church Near You' home page and click on the 'Donate' link. With thanks in anticipation.
