Local Churches are marking Lent by organising lunches in Hope Village Hall from 12-1pm on the following dates: February 22nd, 29th, March 7th, 14th and 21st. A simple lunch of soup and bread will be served with the chance to chat over tea and coffee and listen to a short Lent reflection. No charge for lunch but donations welcome for Christian Aid to support those in need in Gaza.
We are looking forward to celebrating harvest, and invite you to join us. Our services this year will be at Shelve church on 1st October and Hope church on 8th October. At both services we will be giving thanks for the harvest in our local area, as well as further afield, and praying for our local farmers. A collection at each service will be taken in aid of the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.On Wednesday 4th October our popular harvest supper will be held at Hope Village Hall at 7pm, with an auction of produce. All welcome.
