Services in the Presteigne Group of Parishes on Sunday 18 September (Trinity 14) will be as follows:

11.00 Morning Service (Book of Common Prayer: traditional language) Presteigne

6.30 Holy Communion (Common Worship: modern language) Discoed

7.00 – 8.30 Vigil with Readings, Prayers and times of silence to reflect on the life of HM Queen Elizabeth II on the Eve of her State Funeral, including the National Silence at 8 pm. Candles of remembrance, prayer and thanksgiving may be lit if you wish.

Everyone is welcome to join us for any of these services. The morning service at Presteigne and evening service at Discoed will be in a slightly modified and shortened form to reflect the occasion and to enable people to attend the vigil.

If you are unable to join us in person, you can find a Collect, Readings and Prayers for Day 10 of the Period of National Mourning elsewhere on this page. These will work with the Short Service for Use at Home provided earlier in the summer, but can also be said on their own.

The Harvest tea and evening service planned for Lingen have been postponed until a later date.
