We have just one service in the Presteigne Group of Parishes this Sunday, 29 August
11.00 am Festival Eucharist St Andrew’s, Presteigne
Preacher: Rev Prebendary Stephen Hollinghurst, Rector of Presteigne
Celebrant
Rev Debbie Venables, Associate Minister of the Presteigne Benefice
The service marks the welcome return of Presteigne Festival after last year’s absence due to Covid-19. Music will be provided by the Choir of Royal Holloway, directed by Rupert Gough, with organist George Nicholls. It includes a Missa Brevis (short mass) by George Arthur and the communion motet Love incorruptible by Cecilia McDowall, in addition to hymns which the congregation will be permitted to sing.
Please remember that some restrictions to protect us from Covid are still in place. Masks must be worn throughout the service unless you are exempt, Communion will be offered in one kind only (wafers, no wine), and we ask you to sanitise your hands on arrival and to minimise conversation within the building. Seating will be distanced and you should sit only with members of your household or friendship bubble, if possible. MOST IMPORTANTLY there will be fewer seats available than normal, so if you are keen to attend the service, please arrive early in order to secure one. We will do our best to fit people in, however, and everyone is very welcome to attend.
