Services in the Presteigne Group of Parishes this Sunday 28 May (Pentecost) are as follows:
9.30 Holy Communion (Common Worship: contemporary language) Kinsham
11.00 Holy Communion (Common Worship: contemporary language) Presteigne
6.30 Holy Communion (Common Worship: contemporary language) Discoed
Everyone is very welcome to attend any of these services, which mark one of the Church’s major festivals, the Feast of Pentecost. Taking place 50 days after Easter – Pentecost literally means ‘50 days’ – it commemorates the evening when the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus’s disciples in tongues of flame, enabling them to speak in ‘tongues’, ie in many different languages, and proclaim the Gospel of Christ throughout the world.
If you are unable to join us, you can find a short service for use at home at Pentecost elsewhere on this page.
