Phase 1 of the Church repairs is now complete. Some work was done last year to stop the damp between the Garron Centre and the Church and the work on the Tower and Spire has now been completed. The PCC would like to thank everyone that has contributed towards these repairs. The village has donated a whopping £9,160 from individual donations, fundraising events, legacies and a memorial service. The LCA contributed £6,000 to help sort out the damp area and the National Churches Trust have donated £37,440 towards the Tower and Spire work. This grant is made possible thanks to a £1.5 million investment in church heritage by the Heritage Stimulus Fund, part of the Government's Culture Recovery Fund. The Laslett's Charity have also pledged £1,000 towards the Tower and Spire work.Phase 2 of the work in the church will begin at the beginning of June for which grants have been offered by Hereford Historic Churches Trust of £8,000 and the Wolfson Foundation of £7,500. All the VAT will be recoverable from the Listed Places of Worship Scheme which will amount to approximately £18,000.Thanks to the donors and members of the community for their time and support.Llangarron PCC
