Ash Wednesday - Holy Communion with imposition of ashes

Occuring
for 1 hour
Venue
St. Mary and St. Thaoms a Becket, Much Birch
Address
Much Birch Herefordshire, HR2 8HT

Come and join us as we start our Lent journey with the traditional service of Holy Communion and the Imposition of Ashes. The ashes come from last year's Palm Crosses which are burnt and mixed with a little olive oil. The marking of our foreheads is a sign of our repentance and turning to God.

The South Wye Rural Benefice, consisting of the churches at Little Dewchurch, Ballingham, Dinedor & Holme Lacy is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Hereford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services
