Dear Friends,We are all saddened by the death of our dear Queen. She was a wonderful woman, who led and served our country so well all her life. Her faith in Jesus as her Saviour and Lord was a model to us all and as she said, she looked to Him for guidance and strength. At this sad time all of our churches are open as usual and available for you to come and pray, reflect and light a candle. There are books of condolence all around the diocese and the one in the Onny Camlad Benefice is at St Nicholas’, Churchstoke. St Nicholas’ will be open Saturday until 5pm and on Sunday. There is also a book of condolence at St John the Baptist Church, Bishops Castle.
During Holy Week three crosses will be erected on Ratchup Hill, Ratlinghope. There will then be a service of reflection at 12 noon on Good Friday to commemorate the events of the day when Jesus died on the cross. Everyone is welcome to join us for this whole Benefice (and beyond) service.Experience a view of Ratlinghope and beyond that you would not normally see (by kind permission of Mr Matt Sankey). We will meet at the Bridges car park at 11.30am ready for a walk up the Hill. Transport will be available if you don't think you can manage the walk.Following the service some of us are planning to gather at the Bridges Pub for lunch. To book transport or lunch please email admin@onnycamlad.co.uk or call 01588 650580 by late Wednesday 13th April. This is so we can make the necessary arrangements in advance.
We are pleased to announce that the Rev'd Vivienne Hatton was Licensed on Monday 2nd December as the new Priest-in-Charge of our 9 parishes. She is looking forward to meeting you and hopes to see many of you at our various Christmas Services.
