Bishops Frome: St Mary the Virgin
Welcome to our page.
Situated between the market towns of Bromyard and Ledbury, St Mary’s Church is geographically the central church of the eight parishes and one of the largest. The growing congregation now averages between 20 and 40, attracting a congregation from a much wider area who come for our traditional Anglo-Catholic style of worship. The church electoral roll stands at 47. We hold a 10am Sung Eucharistic service each week and there is a growing choir that sings on the first and third Sundays at High Mass services.

Most churches are “Excepted Charities” and are therefore not registered with the Charity Commission. You can download a PDF that includes your church name, address and church code. This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving. Click on the download button below and fill in the short form. You will then be emailed the certificate as a PDF.
