The church has 10 cast-iron windows which are unusually decorative and recognised as significant. Unfortunately, the iron had rusted over the years and panes of glass had cracked and fallen out, which left the church draughty and not looking its best. Two windows were repaired when the tower was refurbished over 10 years ago, but the nave, which is of course the part of the church mainly in use, was not included in these repairs. Thanks to grants from the Ironmongers' Company, Rowlands Trust and Shropshire Historic Churches Trust, and to Brockweir Glass for their skilled work, we have now had 2 nave windows refurbished. We are delighted and, with temporary repairs to the other windows to replace some panes, the church feels like a different building! The job isn't complete of course - all the windows need to be repaired and we have many other repairs to do, but we are working on that, and donations towards our work are always welcome.
