To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, an exhibition at Doddington will share local stories about the people and the area over the last 70 years. Open daily from Thursday 2nd – Sunday 5th June in St John’s Church, you can drop in any time between 10am and 5pm to enjoy a bit of nostalgia, read and hear local people’s memories recorded for the first time and learn about how the community has changed over the years. And what would a visit to St John’s be without a cuppa and refreshments? Of course they’ll be there! Parking available at the Village Hall or at the nearby cattle grid, but please keep the bus stop clear – or better yet, why not time your visit to use the 292 bus? If you have anything you would like to contribute to the exhibition, there is still time – you can contact us now or just add your memories to one of our books when you visit.
