Bridstow: St Bridget

The village of Bridstow lies 1.2 miles west of Ross-on-Wye and 10.6 miles south east of Hereford. The parish is bounded to the east and south by the River Wye. The parish church is dedicated to Saint Bridget. With the exception of the West Tower the whole church was re-built in 1862 but the chancel arch is of an early 12th-century material.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Bridstow is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Hereford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Ellen Ralphs (Telephone 07977688766. Email [email protected]) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer Carl Steventon (Telephone 07593817717). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
