A young man called Cameron Evans from Liverpool and some of his friends (Tahra, Juliet and James) came to Tenbury Wells for a few days in August 2023 to make a film called Empathy and Eternity about the experiences Cameron's father, George Evans, had as a child evacuee in Boraston during the Second World War.
George was initially billeted with the Head Gardener’s family at Burford House before moving to Boraston Mill for the last 2 years of the War, and scenes were filmed at Boraston Church.
The 40 minute film will be screened by Cameron at The Regal in Tenbury Wells followed by a Q&A, with time to have a drink and socialise afterwards, and to peruse some archival materials that Cameron will be bringing. Tickets are £5 per person - book online via regaltenbury.co.uk.
