About Us
Blickling Parish Church is part of the Aylsham & District Team Ministry which is made up of 16 unique and individual parishes, centred around the Market Town of Aylsham which is located halfway between Norwich and the North Norfolk Coast.
Blickling Parish Church (St Andrew's) is an architectural delight in a glorious historic landscape which welcomes visitors from around the world to enjoy a programme of services, events, and concerts.
Blickling Church is at the heart of the National Trust Estate with Blickling Hall as it's most famous neighbour. It is this wonderful location next one of Norfolk key tourist attractions which means Blickling Church is very much about welcoming visitors.
The Church is open every day from dawn to dusk though we are unable to staff the Church regularly with volunteers we hope that our guidebook and visitor information means that you will enjoy an informative visit.
Blickling is what we call a Festival Church, although it is still a function Parish Church we worship mainly when there is a festival to celebrate (for example Easter, Harvest & Christmas) or when we welcome families for baptism, weddings or funerals.
Blickling Parish Church is also home to a fascinating colony of bats and each year we invite local families to discover more about our nocturnal friends at our Bat Night.
The wonderful heritage of Blickling Parish Church belongs to us all and we hope you soon enjoy a visit or find out more online.
