Ely Collegium, who are fast becoming known as one of the finest chamber choirs in the Cambridgeshire area, are visiting St Martin’s Church, Hindringham with a festive programme of Christmas music.
The concert will include popular items such as The Holly and the Ivy, O Holy Night, Carol of the Bells, Coventry Carol, and In Dulci Jubilo, plus sing-along carols such as Hark the Herald Angels, Silent Night, God Rest Ye, Merry Gentleman and O Come, All Ye Faithful. Music Director Dr. Susannah Self will contribute her own composition Gaudete plus a new Christmas anthem, Hushed Was The Night.

Selfmade Music, based in Hindringham and run by residents Susannah Self and Michael Christie, has organised the piano and the concert. They are well-known in the area for performances of large-scale choral works in the church, which have helped to raise money for the ongoing St Martin’s Church Tower and Bells Restoration Fund. Once the costs of installing the piano have been met, it will enable further concerts in aid of the Tower Restoration Fund.
