When the tiles were removed earlier this summer, the condition of the timbers and tiles was worse than anticipated and a significant amount of money was needed over and above the original costed specification.
Steady work since Phase III began in May 2023 is beginning to show results, with new tiles being relaid on the chancel roof and beautifully crafted stonework on the newly rebuilt buttress.
