The church of St Peter & St Paul is one of the finest of Norfolk's multitude of medieval churches and presents an immediately striking exterior with its wonderful 15th-century crocketted spirelet and beautifully-proportioned clerestory. The magnificent interior includes a wealth of important and highly decorative woodwork including 15th-century screens and a high-pitched hammerbeam roof to the fine nave, supported by a range of beautifully-carved corbels. There are also a number of significant tombs and memorials from the 14th to 17th centuries, many to the Herling and Lovell families who were the key benefactors to the church; not least the magnificent mid-15thc Easter Sepulchre tomb to Anne Herling and her first husband Sir William Chamberlain in the chancel. The east window is a triumph of painted 15thc glass from the Norwich school, depicting the Joys and Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary. For architectural features alone, the church richly rewards the enquiring visitor.

Primarily, of course, the church remains a house of prayer and worship and is home to a very active, faithful and devoted church community who enjoy worship in a range of traditions and styles, whether a Eucharist, a family service or cafe church. There is an energetic lay ministry team who facilitate some excellent youth activities, with games, teaching, prayer and faith-exploration groups.
