In this moving service of remembrance, 51 poppy crosses are laid; each for a man of the village who fell in the two world wars (37 in WWI and 14 in WWII).
The crosses are assigned to descendants of those who fell or, if none can be present, current residents of the homes in which the fallen had lived.
Assembly starts in the church at 10:30 to hand out the crosses. After singing the National Anthem, the congregation will move outside to the war memorial (weather permitting) shortly before 11 for the Act of Remembrance and the laying wreaths and poppy crosses. The service then continues inside the church building.
