The five members of our Parish Team take turns to plan and present our Morning Prayer and Morning Worship services. The result is that each is different in format and content, but share the same friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Everyone loves the music of Christmas, whether it's Christmas carols or some of the more secular songs.

Bergh Apton Church invites you to join us in a celebration of Christmas music with The Poringland Singers.
Led by Musical Director, Terry Cunnane, this mixed-voice choir will present a variety of Christmas songs and carols, accompanied by organist, Mark Thompson.

The programme includes “On Christmas Night”, the celebrated festive arrangement, by Bob Chilcott, of 8 traditional carol settings following the sequence of the Christmas story. There will be some congregational singing of well-loved carols, maybe some secular Christmas music too – we’ll have to wait and see ……………….. but we can be sure that this will set us perfectly on the path to Christmas!

Join us for a friendly service and stay afterwards for refreshments

Bergh Apton's annual Service of nine lessons and carols is an evening when the village comes together, with friends from many other places, to begin the Christmas Journey lit by the light of over 150 candles, lifted by carols and readings, and warmed by friendship.

Come along for a relaxed retelling of the wonderful Christmas Story. This is for children of all ages - toddlers to great-grandparents.
In telling the story, we try to involve in some way as many people who would like to participate (it's not compulsory - if you'd just like to watch and listen, that's fine too).
As this is the casting audition, first rehearsal and final perfomance all in one, it will be somewhat chaotic. You will find this a friendly and very informal service, and all are very welcome.

Join us to clebrate Holy Communion on this joyous day. You may need to dash off to prepare the Christmas meal, but if you have time to stay a while, there will be a bite of something festive to share.
