Building Improvements

The first phase of major building work started in 2011 and was completed early in 2013. Re-rendering of the chancel walls and improvement to the rainwater goods and the porch roof has been made under the scrutiny of English Heritage and with grants from other bodies . Work to the doorway to the mausoleum unveiled more of an early Renaissance monument of terracotta which is expected to attract considerable national interest. Having completed the first phase of building repair works, we are looking at what changes may need to be made inside the church to hold more community events there.
