At this very difficult time for our town of Sheringham and the whole world please remember that you are all in our prayers at St Peter’s Church.
For the foreseeable future there are no public worship services in church on Sundays or during the week but prayers are always being offered for you all at St Peter’s.
The church bell will ring at 10.00am every Sunday morning to remind everybody that I am in church praying for our local community and all affected by Coronavirus throughout the world. This will also happen on multiple different occasions during the week.
When you hear the bell tolling please take the opportunity to join with me, in your own homes, to offer your own prayers too. Together we are the Church! The power of prayer should never be underestimated.
St Peter’s will also make available a short act of worship for you to use at home via this Facebook page. You can use it at any time in the knowledge that you are not alone and that many others are also joining in with you.
We need to remember that we are always surrounded by God’s love and that as we move towards the great celebration of Easter the great hope of the resurrection story should fill our hearts with hope for the future. It should also encourage us all to follow Jesus’ example in showing sacrificial love towards others and a greater commitment to the service and needs of our community of Sheringham and the wider world.
Happy Mothering Sunday to you all and especially to all mums, and those who act as mums to others, who are working so hard to support families and friends.
At St Peter's we are your family, and as always, we will be there for you in the days and weeks that lie ahead.
May God bless us all,
Christian
Vicar of St Peter’s, Sheringham
