Safeguarding

Our Churches take responsibility for the safeguarding of children, young people and adults who may be at risk very seriously, and works in partnership with the Diocese of Salisbury to ensure that we work in accordance with best practice at all times.

Each Parochial Church Council have formally adopted the Church of England’s House of Bishops; Safeguarding Children, young people and vulnerable adults Policy ‘Promoting a Safer Church’ and the ‘Parish Safeguarding Handbook’ as it’s Safeguarding Policy.

Safeguarding is being aware of others and their needs. This means challenging situations where needs are not being met, or where individuals of any age are being, or appear to be being, abused in any way.
