St Mary Magdalene
Welcome to St Mary Magdalene, Westerfield.
This is a lovely little parish church which has a service at 11.00 every Sunday. On the 1st and 3rd Sundays it's Communion, on the 2nd it's Morning Worship and on the 4th Sunday it's a short informal service which lasts about 30 minutes. This latter service is deliberately intended to be suitable for both children and adults and is very relaxed. It normally has just one song, a prayer, a Bible reading and something else e.g. colouring a picture while listening to some music. The service is valued by those who like its simplicity, informality and brevity!
If you haven't been to church before, or not for a long while, this service on the 4th Sunday is an ideal way to try it out gently. And there's tea/coffee, biscuits (and sometimes cake) afterwards. If there's a 5th Sunday in the month, the moves between Westerfield, Tuddenham and Witnesham. Check the events page to see where and what it is
Tea, coffee and squash are available after all the services, and you're welcome to stay and chat, or trundle off to enjoy the rest of your day.
During the week
Not everyone can or wants to do, church on Sunday. So there's a 30 minute talking-type service at 9.30am on Wednesdays. Led by the Vicar, we read two or three short pieces from the Bible, ponder what we think about them (but you don’t have to say anything) then pray and finish. Everyone is welcome as often as you like. We're online too!
Have a look round the church and meet Charlotte the Vicar, or check out the facebook page and websiteDonating
