LARGE BIRDS NESTING IN THE BELFRY

News_about_our_building

It's not every day you have your own Spring Watch in our lovely Church but when the bell captain went up into the belfry he discovered a lot of mess which was part of a nest falling into the the stair well. All he could make out was it belonged to a pair of large birds. Could it be an owl, or a hawk?

A day or 2 later we discovered it was a pair of crows who had hatched some chicks and were very comfortable flying into the bell tower and out in an effort to feed them.

As you pass by the Church, look up at a small window in the tower and you will see them flying in and out. Monks Eleigh does have their very own Spring watch!
