Blyth Valley Churches

Two benefices, in a new cluster, 15 very diverse and interesting parishes working together in one of the most beautiful and rural parts of Suffolk. We have 14 beautiful and much-loved churches, all listed buildings, and all, but the Hub Church of St Mary's Halesworth, located in lovely Suffolk villages. Each Church is supported by dedicated and hard-working Churchwardens and Parochial Church Councils of varying sizes.

We have allocated stipendiary staff of a Team Rector (and Priest in Charge), and a Team Vicar, and there are, in addition, six Associate Priests, one Assistant Curate, one Lay Reader and six Lay Elders.

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Dominic Doble on 01986 948968 or 07743 554955 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
