Baptism is a celebration of life and a welcome into the Christian community. If you live in one of our parishes or have connections to our churches, we would be delighted to talk to you about baptism for children or adults.
Baptism (also called christening when it takes place as a child) is a declaration of faith and the start of a journey with God. As a parent bringing your child to be christened you are saying thank you for them and preparing them for their journey through life. As an adult coming to baptism, you declare your faith in God and your trust in that continuing journey of faith.
Baptisms can take place as part of one of our Sunday morning services, or as a separate service. To find out more contact Revd. Paolo Di Leo (07968 606377).
More information about christenings and what happens as part of the service can be found on the Church of England website here.
