All Church of England churches are required maintain an electoral roll. This is distinct from the civil electoral roll, and it is revised each year before the Annual Parochial Church Meetings. Every six years a new roll has to be prepared rather than revising the existing roll. 2025 is a year in which this is required. If you are already on the electoral roll you will receive a form asking you to complete it for the new roll. If you would like to be added to the electoral roll of your church then please complete the form available here and return to the electoral roll officer. Full details will appear on a notice posted on church notice boards.
The Annual Meetings for the Election of Churchwardens and the Annual Parochial Church Meetings will be held in May – the dates will be published next month. Everyone whose name appears on either the civil electoral roll or the church electoral roll is entitled to vote at the meeting for the election of churchwardens. Only those whose names appear on the church electoral roll may vote at the annual church meeting.
