Ramsbottom & Edenfield Team Ministry

We are a team of churches - Edenfield, St Andrew's, St Paul's and St Philip's, all belonging to the Church of England in a beautiful part of the Irwell Valley, north of Bury. There are four parishes and four church buildings, which have a variety of traditions but seek to work together alongside other Christians in our town, to share the good news of Jesus, and to show his love to all.

Whichever one of our churches you walk into, there’s a couple of things you need to know before we start:

We love the Lord Jesus

And we love you.

We believe that the most important thing that ever happened is that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, chose to become human just like us. He told people about the Kingdom of God – about how the world is transformed for the better when God is in charge. At the end of his life, He died on the cross to pay the price for our sins and ensure that whatever we’ve done wrong is put right. And then, three days later, Jesus Christ rose from the dead and made a new way to belong to God. All you need to do is believe in the Lord Jesus, and that’s it. You’re in.

After that, there’s this whole adventure of life together as part of God’s Church, where we come to share life with the other people God has called to belong to Jesus and where we can begin to be changed into the people that God longs for us to be.

That’s where our four churches come in. If you’re reading this then we really do believe that you might be one of the people the Lord Jesus is calling, just like he said:

“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” John 12:32

Each of our churches has its own identity, but you’ll find that in each of them the same values will underpin all that we do. We worship, we pray, and we love Scripture (that’s the Word of God that we find written in the Bible). We welcome, because Jesus welcomes us. We share fellowship because we’re called to do life together. And we grow as disciples because we know that none of us are the finished article.

So have a look through our pages, get a sense of our churches, and if you want to join us, we’d love to meet you. Feel free to get in touch if there’s anything you want to know.
