About Us

We are two neighbouring Anglican parishes in the centre of Oldham (OL1) - part of Oldham & Ashton Deanery (Mission community 3) and belong to Manchester Diocese. Our Bishop is + Mark of Middleton, serving with Diocesan Bishop, +David Walker, Lord Bishop of Manchester.

Coldhurst Parish Church was founded 176 years ago and St Stephen's Parish Church (Lower Moor) was founded 151 years ago to serve the local population. Both now serve in areas of high social deprivation and ethnic diversity . See Church Urban Fund statistics for each Parish Profile.
