Our church is part of the Launde Deanery Minster Community which was launched at a service in Tilton on the Hill Parish Church on Sunday 30th April 2023.
The Diocese of Leicester is on a journey that they are calling ‘Shaped By God Together’. We are the first Minster Community that has been established within the Diocese, being a group of 24 Parishes and 33 Churches working collaboratively and sharing resources to enable effective mission. The aim behind Minster Communities is to establish a sustainable and mission-focused foundation for the worshipping communities across the Diocese. It is anticipated that there will be about twenty Minster Communities in the Diocese that will be formed by 2026.
The Launde Deanery and Minster Community consists of the following benefices:
Gaulby Group
Hallaton Benefice
The Langtons and Shangton
Loddington with Launde Abbey
Six Saints Circa Holt
The Whatborough Benefice
The Coplow Benefice
