About Us
Our benefice has five churches altogether, two in Brixham, and one each in Kingswear, Galmpton and Churston Ferrers, known collectively as Brixham Mission Community (BMC). The locations of each Church can be found on the map.
We all have services each Sunday and some during the week. Service times are changed occasionally and by looking at the weekly Grapevine (our pew sheet which is listed on all the Churches sites) you will see what the service times are for the coming week.
At the moment we are in an interregnum period which means we do not have an incumbent in place (a vicar). However, we have several retired vicars within our vicinity who love to lead services for us, a Self-Supporting Minister licensed to our Mission Community and as Chaplain at Torbay Hospital, and we have many Licenced Lay Ministers who take Morning Worship and other services without Holy Communion. There will always be a Holy Communion service at one of our churches each week. Plus we have lots of help from active clergy such as the Archdeacon of Totnes and Bishop James from the Diocese in Exeter.
Despite the interregnum, baptisms, weddings and funerals are still happening at all of the churches and by contacting the person mentioned on the site of the Church you are interested in you will soon receive a response to any query.
